Hypnotherapist offers ways to make New Year’s resolutions reality
Hypnosis is an approved method to help with smoking cessation, weight management and stress
DUBLIN- After the ball drops in New York and 2023 begins, many are faced with a list of New Year’s resolutions to change their lives, but many miss out on changing their thought patterns to help them overcome negative habits.
Numerous physicians and health care professionals refer patients to Casaday to provide personal empowerment and motivation through the use of hypnosis. She is a member of the International Medical and Dental Hypnotherapy Association and the National Guild of Hypnotists, and is a graduate of The Cincinnati/Columbus Ohio Academy of Hypnosis.
Casaday focuses on working with her clients to help them change unwanted behaviors. She said hypnosis isn’t “mind control,” but positive suggestions made while a person is in a relaxed, sleeplike state.
“We are hypnotized 25% of our day and think over 60,000 thoughts per day. Those are the same thoughts we’ve been thinking for years,” she said. She added that clients can change their negative thoughts to help them achieve goals.
“The new year is a perfect time to give your New Year’s resolutions a boost by using the tool of hypnosis,” Casaday said.
The American Medical Association and the American Psychiatric Association have approved hypnosis for use by professionally responsible individuals.
