When you have a hypnosis session you are guided starting with noticing your breath. Encouraged to take deep slow breaths. Inhaling fully through your nose and exhaling through the mouth.
Invited to breathe smoothly and imagining tension and stress leaving your body.
This gives the mind/body an opportunity to be calm and still.
This is followed by bringing your awareness to your muscles, sinew, skin and tissue You are guided to use visual imagery and be present.
Hypnosis is a process of cooperation between the person’s subconscious mind and the suggestions given by the hypnotist.
You are always in control and aware of your surroundings. All hypnosis is self- hypnosis.

Christie Casaday is a graduate of the Cincinnati/Columbus, Ohio Academy of Hypnosis and has been practicing Hypnosis for over 29 years.
