All hypnosis is self-hypnosis. Positive suggestions giving in a session while one is relaxed can be very empowering. You are always in control. I can not make you bark like a dog or cluck like a chicken. Hypnotic suggestions bypass the critical faculty, called the conscious mind, and focuses on offering positive, uplifting suggestions to the subconscious mind.
